When people from different cultures come together, it can be interesting, intriguing, challenging, puzzling, eye-opening, demanding, enlightening, exhausting, fascinating, exasperating, exciting.
Carlow Integration Forum has a vision of a County Carlow that that values the diverse cultures and identities of all. We are working to create a shared sense of belonging in Carlow and we do this by helping communities to collaborate on initiatives that will include all ethnicities.
Since we were established in 2011, we’ve provided intercultural training and been involved in organising a range of activities to enrich the lives of all who make Carlow their home. These include Sports, Arts, a Spring Festival of Cultures, participating in St Patrick’s Day and lots of other fun and energising things! We are currently developing an Integration Strategy for the county and we hope that everyone in the county will have an opportunity to input into this.
